People from all walks of life bid adieus to noted writer and social activist Shridhar Kamat as his mortal remains were taken to the Goa Medical College, Bambolim on Thursday morning for the educational needs of the medical students.
Chairman of Sociedade de Fomento Avduth Timblo paid tributes to Shridhar, who was the Chief Executive Officer of Fomento Green. TCP Minister Vijai Sardesai, Margao MLA Digambar Kamat, social activists, lawyers and friends paid their tributes before his mortal remains were taken to the GMC shortly after 11 am.
Amongst those present were Margao Municipal Council Chairperson Babita Angle Prabhudesai, Ravindra Bhavan Chairperson Prashant Naik, Vice-Chairperson Saish Panandikar, former MLA Damu Naik, Lokmat Editor Raju Nayak, social activist Aires Rodrigues, former MLA Nirmala Sawant, Publisher of The Goan Menino Cota, representatives of Fomento Group of Companies also paid their respects to the activist.
